MOSES LAKE — A 24-year-old Moses Lake man was arrested early Monday morning on suspicion of raping a woman and assaulting her with a firearm, according to local law enforcement.

Lamar Shadeed Wynn was booked into the Grant County Jail on charges of first-degree assault with a firearm or deadly weapon, first-degree rape, felony harassment threats to kill, first-degree unlawful possession of a firearm, violation of a no-contact/protection order with assault, and harassment with a previous conviction or threat to kill. He was also booked on probation violations stemming from underlying charges of second-degree and third-degree assault.

Police were dispatched around 7 p.m. Sunday for a report that a woman had been assaulted with a firearm and sexually assaulted. According to law enforcement, the woman had a no-contact order in place against Wynn and he allegedly contacted her near her residence, pointed a .38 caliber revolver at her and sexually assaulted her in her vehicle.

The victim was reportedly eventually able to get away from Wynn and call police. Wynn was located around 1:30 a.m. Monday morning and arrested. He is currently held on $200,000 bail, according to police. Police reportedly recovered the firearm used in the assault.
