Bradley Gleason scored twice for Priest River and Shane Gamber buried the other goal for the Spartans. Goalie Luke Butler made eight saves.

This was the first time this season Priest River had 10 players on the pitch and head coach Daryl Hall said he expects to have a full starting 11 by next week.

"We are still working on the fundamentals of trapping and passing," he wrote in a text. "Overall, the team is in great physical shape and improving every game."

The Spartans (0-5, 0-3 IML) head to Orofino 4 p.m. Wednesday and Coeur d'Alene Charter 2 p.m. Saturday. Priest River returns home 3:30 p.m. Monday to play Orofino.
