November 28, 1934 - September 15, 2020

Eunice May Shoop was born Nov. 28, 1934, in Fromberg, Montana, to Ralph and Truie (Miller) Shoop. Eunice graduated valedictorian of her high school class in Clarkston, Washington. She was employed at the bank in Lewiston, Idaho, before moving to Seattle to work for the Boeing Company. It was during that time that she met and fell in love with Howard Rohlinger. They married on June 28, 1958, and settled in Moses Lake, Washington, where she worked as a bookkeeper for a medical clinic before starting a family. She loved being a homemaker and caring for her three children. After Howard’s retirement, she returned to work, earning her nursing assistant’s certification. Her love and compassion for the elderly led her to a job as a certified nursing assistant.

She called Moses Lake and Warden, Washington, “home” for many years, but has resided in Cheney, Washington, for the past five years. She was an active member at Warden Assembly of God and Northshore Church (previously New Beginnings Christian Center). She touched the lives of many with her kindness, and she will be greatly missed by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchild, numerous family and friends.

Eunice is survived by her children Mitch (Michele) Rohlinger and Holly (Tony) Pixton; siblings Martha (David) Love, Ralph Shoop, Marlowe (Donna) Shoop and Tim Shoop; grandchildren David Pixton, Mark Pixton and Allison Rohlinger and great-grandson Wade Nichols. She is preceded in death by her husband Howard and son Grant Rohlinger, and siblings Clarence Shoop, David Shoop and Donna Young.

There will be a small gathering of family and friends to celebrate the life of Eunice Rohlinger Sept. 25, at 2:30 p.m. at Northshore Church, 318 Northshore Drive, Moses Lake, Washington. Due to COVID-19 restrictions and limited seating, family and close friends are welcome. The service will be available on livestream for those who would like to watch from home.
