Coronavirus: Total cases exceeds 3,000, 42 reported Wednesday

GRANT COUNTY - There were 42 cases of the coronavirus confirmed Wednesday, including new cases in Moses Lake, the Mattawa and Quincy areas, and rural Grant County near Othello, according to the Grant County Health District.
This brings the total number of cases reported in Grant County since the pandemic began to 3,001. State officials reported Wednesday that 145 local residents who tested positive for the coronavirus have been hospitalized since the pandemic began, while 10 are currently hospitalized, according to the health district.
In the hardest-hit areas of the county, there have been 876 cases reported in Moses Lake since the pandemic began, 773 in the Quincy area and 488 in the Mattawa area.
