BONNERS FERRY — On Thursday, Oct. 1, the Bonners Ferry High School volleyball team will have its home Volley for a Cure match in support of all cancers.
Volley for a Cure is the Badgers' annual event in which all proceeds from the game will go to the Bonners Ferry Women's Cancer Education and Support Group, a non-profit organization that uses its funds from the event to give gas cards to Boundary County residents with cancer that have to travel long distances for their treatments.
Bonners Ferry High School will be hosting silent auctions throughout the night, and events will kick off with the "C" team's match at 4 p.m. then the junior varsity match at 5:30 p.m. BFHS students have been encouraged to wear pink to school and the match.
The Badgers will be playing Timberlake in what will be its last home match for a week and a half. The match is scheduled to start at 7 p.m. following the junior varsity match.
