Tigers shut down Priest River

SPIRIT LAKE — Lexi Barry and Kiersten Sawley scored two goals each for Timberlake to lead the Tigers to a 7-0 shutout victory over Priest River girls soccer on Tuesday.
"We have been working on positioning to take possession back and it showed well across the team tonight," head coach Rob Lawler said. "We had Brooklyn Best in goal tonight who played her first full match as keeper. She came up big on several plays."
Priest River (0-7, 0-6 IML) hosts the Lewiston JV team 4 p.m. Thursday for Senior Night. The Spartans then play a pair of matches against Grangeville on Friday and Saturday.
