High school juniors and seniors aged 16 to 18 years old in Idaho, Utah and Montana are invited to the FBI’s Teen Symposium.
Classes are being held virtually this year, and go from 3-6 p.m. Thursday, April 22 and Friday, April 23.
Students will have the chance to see a behind-the-scenes look at the FBI through presentations and demonstrations, FBI officials said in a press release. Students will leave with a greater understanding of the FBI’s mission.
The two-day symposium will offer opportunities to learn about everything from how evidence and hazardous materials are gathered at crime scenes to education on issues including cyber, terrorism and civil rights, and hear from FBI agents and personnel.
Any student with an interest in the FBI is encouraged to apply. The program is not exclusive to students interested in criminal justice.
The FBI offers jobs including: special agent, accounting, nursing, intelligence and administration.
Student selection is based on application and essay. The application, release form and a supporting essay must be received by the Salt Lake City FBI office by April 9, 2021. Incomplete and or late applications will not be accepted.
