Weekend roundup: Almira/Coulee-Hartline wraps up perfect season

Football

Almira/Coulee-Hartline 46, Soap Lake 0

The Warriors finished with 244 total yards on offense while holding Soap Lake to just 39 yards. ACH QB Dane Isaak finished with 108 yards rushing and two touchdowns, adding 18 yards and a passing score. Isaak added an interception on defense.

Reece Isaak led ACH defense with six total tackles and one sack. Christian Foster led Soap Lake with 40 yards rushing.

Othello 49, Rogers 13

Ethan Medina returned an interception for a touchdown. Othello’s defense finished with two blocked kicks while holding Rogers to less than 100 yards rushing and under 150 yards passing.

Sonny Asu racked up 221 yards rushing and two scores. Julian Alegria added 71 yards and a pair of rushing touchdowns.

Girls soccer

Quincy 3, Cascade 3 (3-5 penalty kicks)

Emily Wurl scored all three goals for the Jacks Thursday. Quincy fell short in penalty kicks after ending regulation tied 3-3. Despite the loss, the Jacks finished the season at 8-3 with one of the top records in the North Central Washington Region.

Othello 6, Rogers 1

Hailee Guzman scored four goals to help lead the Huskies to a big win over Rogers last week. Serenity Peña scored a pair, while Janelly Verduzco and Gracie Sorenson each tallied multiple assists.

Royal 1, Brewster 0

Ivy Delay scored the winning goal for the Knights in Royal’s final game of the season last Thursday. Meadow Saenz picked up the assist. After beginning the season 0-3, the Knights rattled off five wins in their next eight games to close the season.

Warden 2, Chelan 2 (penalties)

Freshmen Maribel Dominguez and Maira Zaragoza both scored to help lead the Cougars into extra time against Chelan. Warden ultimately fell in penalties in their final match this spring.

Volleyball

Ephrata 3, Moses Lake 0

The Tigers took the opening two sets 25-16 and 25-14 before a 25-21 win in the final set to take the sweep at home against Moses Lake Saturday. Megan Karstetter finished with seven kills to lead the Chiefs, while Annalyse Hernandez and Teagan Wiltbank combined for 13 digs.

Moses Lake 0, Wenatchee 3

The Chiefs fell in all three sets against Wenatchee Saturday. Jalyn Valdez-Torres finished with 9 digs for Moses Lake.
