Moses Lake 20, Wenatchee 5 Moses Lake 16, Wenatchee 0

Zane Harden finished with five RBIs to lead the Chiefs in the first win on Saturday against Wenatchee. Seth Olson finished 2-3 from the plate with four RBIs while Leo Cortez finished 2-3 with a pair of RBIs.

The Chiefs held the Panthers scoreless in the second game of the day behind three pitchers combining for eight strikeouts and just four hits allowed. Asher Lindgren finished 4-5 from the plate with a pair of RBIs. Zane Harden and Seth Olson both homered.

Ephrata High School poured in 10 runs in the top of the second inning in the opening game of the doubleheader in Warden on Friday afternoon. Kylar Heston finished 3-3 from the plate for the Tigers with a pair of doubles and a home run in Game 1. Rylee Peters tossed five strikeouts and surrendered just three hits for the Ephrata on the mound.

The Tigers brought in three runs in the first inning in the second game to take an early lead. Jocelyn Eisen gave up just one hit, with four strikeouts and no runs earned.

Moses Lake 23, Eastmont 0 Moses Lake 14, Eastmont 0

Laurissa Martinez hit three home runs in the opener on Saturday, finishing with eight RBIs on a 4-5 effort from the plate. Sidney Ries added five RBIs and a home run, going 2-4. The Chiefs gave up just two hits in the five-inning game.

Brenna Rangel pitched all six innings in the second game for the Chiefs, surrendering six hits with no runs and striking out four. Madi Olson hit two homers, going 4-5 at bat with six RBIs.

The Huskies opened the season with a 3-1 win over North Central High School at home Thursday. Alonso Cruz, Jose Galban and Anthony Ontiveros scored for Othello.

Othello scored five goals in the first half in the makeup game on Saturday against Shadle Park. Jose Galban scored two and added an assist. Miguel Ramirez scored once and chipped in two assists. Isai Lopez and Adan Morfin each scored as well, putting the Huskies at 2-0 to start the year in the Greater Spokane League.

Big Bend 78, Treasure Valley 50

Keenan Miller led Big Bend Community College with 23 points and 12 rebounds against Treasure Valley Community College on Friday. Chandler Pincock added 21 points and seven rebounds. Landon Harrington added 12 rebounds and 11 boards.
