Lisa Marie Layson, 52

Lisa Marie Layson, 52, of Post Falls, Idaho, died on April 5, 2021. She was born Oct. 11, 1968, in Spokane, Wash., and was raised by Irvin and Wendy (Lee) Reed in Otis Orchards. Lisa graduated from East Valley High School, then went on to Spokane Community College and became an oncology nurse at Sacred Heart in Spokane.

Lisa met her best friend and husband, Jim Layson, in Spokane, and they were later married on Oct. 21, 1989. They had two sons, Jakob and Tony.

She was an avid Seahawks fan and loved camping, visiting the coast, traveling to Bonners Ferry, and being a nurse. Helping others was her passion and caring was part of her nature. She loved all things involving her grandchildren and being around family.

She was preceded in death by her father, Irvin Reed, and her sister, Annette Reed. She is survived by her mother, Wendy Reed; her children, Jakob (Samantha) Layson and Tony (Katelyn) Layson; her grandchildren, Elliott and Jackson Layson and Paislee Smith; her brother, Tim (Loni) Reed; her sister, Reina Reed; and her nieces and nephews, Courtney and Josh, Rycen and Kaden and Dylan and Dustin.

A memorial service for Lisa will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 24, 2021, at Lifeway Church, 501 W. 15th Ave., Post Falls, ID 83854.
