TROY, Mont. — Clark Fork's Wesley Simko and Eli Engelhart each played a singles match at Troy on Tuesday.
Simko cruised past Winter Sedler, Troy's No. 2, 6-0, 6-0.
Engelhart got into a three-set war with the Trojans No. 1 singles player, Shamus Sedler. He persevered in the first set 7-5, but lost the next two, 6-2, 6-3.
Head coach Jeff Emmer said Engelhart's match went on for over two hours. It was truly a marathon.
"Eli continues to improve every match," Emmer said. "I think he just ran out of gas and was still feeling the effects of last Saturday's five matches."
The Wampus Cats head to the Post Falls junior varsity team at 3 p.m. Thursday.
