POST FALLS — Eli Engelhart and Blaine Williams made the trip down to Post Falls on Thursday for a few matches against the Trojans' junior varsity tennis team.

In singles action, Williams couldn't be stopped. The Clark Fork senior sailed to a 6-1 win over Caden Warren and then pulled out a 7-5 victory over Daniel Schlothauer.

Engelhart lost his first singles match 6-1, but bounced back with a 6-3 win over Tyler Jacobson.

Engelhart and Williams wrapped up the day with a doubles match against Jamison Wasson and Tyler Jacobson from Post Falls.

The two duos went back and forth and had to go to a tiebreaker to determine a victor. The Trojans won the tiebreaker 7-2 to secure the 7-6 victory over the Wampus Cats.

Head coach Jeff Emmer said it was a great battle to watch.

"It was a competitive, high energy match, but they were all having a blast," he said. "I always love it when the joy of the game is so apparent. Sometimes high school sports can get too serious."

Clark Fork heads to Coeur d'Alene Charter at 3 p.m. Monday.
