Fire strikes Ephrata United Methodist Church Sunday

EPHRATA — A blaze Sunday morning caused extensive damage to the Ephrata United Methodist Church at 117 C. St. NW.

The Ephrata Fire Department and Grant County fire districts 13, 3 and 7 responded at 8:30 a.m. to the structure fire and extinguished it by 10:40 a.m. No one was injured.

The fire originated in the Bible study and office area, said Grant County Sheriff’s Office PIO Kyle Foreman.

The cause is under investigation.
