An Othello woman died Saturday morning in a collision on a gravel driveway near Moses Lake.

Deena Romero Ramos, 19, was driving a 2009 Toyota Corolla west on Road 9 Northeast and onto a private gravel driveway, according to a Grant County Sheriff’s Office social media post. She didn’t negotiate a curve on the road just before 6 a.m. and the car became airborne, struck the ground and stopped on its roof.

Romero Ramos died at the scene. Grant County Coroner’s Office staff will conduct an autopsy.

A passenger, Cassandra M. Unruh, 19, of Othello, was taken to a local hospital for her injuries.

The Grant County Sheriff’s Office Motor Traffic Unit is investigating the collision.
