Teen injured in Adams County collision

A teenager was injured Friday afternoon in a collision on Interstate 90 near Palm Lake in Adams County, according to the Washington State Patrol.
Blake A. Driesen, 23, of an unidentified city, was driving east just before 5:10 p.m. on Interstate 90 at milepost 237 in a maroon 1995 Mercury Grand Marquis when the vehicle struck the back of a gray 2018 Toyota RAV4, which was stopped for traffic in the left lane.
Driesen was uninjured and was wearing a seat belt. He was cited for failure to yield. His vehicle was totaled and his passenger, Kylee M. Orestad, 17, of an unidentified city, was taken to Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane for her injuries. She wore a seat belt.
The RAV4 driver, Joseph B. Lykins, 69, of an unidentified city, was not injured and wore a seat belt. His vehicle was totaled.
