The Grant County Health District announced Tuesday there were 112 more cases of COVID-19 linked to the Watershed Musical Festival July 30-Aug. 1 in George, bringing the total to more than 230.

Of those, nine Grant County residents have been hospitalized who are in their 40s to 80s.

Cases were identified in Grant, King, Kittitas, Pierce, Okanogan, Kitsap, Whatcom, San Juan, Stevens, Spokane, Snohomish, Skagit and Lincoln counties, as well as one case in Oregon, the GCHD reported.

The GCHD is working with officials to identify other cases, and urging people to self-quarantine and seek testing if they attended the festival, according to a release.

The GCHD also urged people to get vaccinated as it was “the most reliable method of suppressing and eventually controlling COVID-19.” Masking and social distancing also were recommended.
