Mountain West Bank recently presented a check for $2,500 to Bonner Homeless Transitions. The funds are part of the bank’s Community Reinvestment program and their commitment to the communities they serve.

Bonner Homeless Transitions is focused on helping individuals help themselves and on helping abused and neglected children.

“The clients we serve want better lives for themselves and their families, and our organization and the programs we offer provide that for them," Board President Mary Jo Ambrosiani said. "As president, I am most proud of BHT helping our clients to become self-sufficient, flourish, and give back to our community. It is my goal to help make BHT sustainable so that it can continue to offer the needed assistance to Bonner County and the clients we serve.”

Ann Gehring, BHT vice president, was drawn to the group when she saw how the clients work to resolve issues that contributed to their homelessness.

“I want to help those who are willing to help themselves and their families. I have been excited to see clients completing the BHT program able move into a home of their own.”

Mountain West Bank is pleased to support their program, contributing to providing safe housing and a sense of belonging for our neighbors in need.
