Scramble has youngsters racing to catch pigs

The 4 and 5 year-old division of the Bonner County Fair pig scramble entertained a full set of bleachers on Wednesday during the opening day of the Fair. The prize for catching a pig is the envelope of money on the pig’s back.

The Bonner County Fair continues with with a full slate of action today.
Among the items on tap are at 8 a.m., poultry classes; 8 a.m., goat classes; 11 a.m., 4-H goat fitting and showing, alpaca/llama classes follow; 11 a.m.-6 p.m., pony rides and petting zoo; 11 a.m.-7 p.m., inflatable zone open; 12 p.m., water balloon toss contest; 1 p.m., 4-H beef classes followed by adult fitting and showing; 4 p.m., Little Folks Horrse show; 5:30 p.m., large animal 4-H livestock judging; 7:30. p.m., Copper Mountain Band concert (outdoor arena). all events at Bonner County Fairgrounds, 4203 N. Boyer Road.
