“Empty Bowls Ice Cream Social” is set for 5 to 7 p.m. Aug. 26 at Black Bay Park in Post Falls.

It offers a chance to buy locally hand-designed ceramic bowls, with proceeds going to the Post Falls Food Bank.

It is $20, which includes a bowl. There will also be ice cream sundaes.

Every year, they have about 250 ceramic bowls painted by local artists. 

“Purchase of the bowls entitles you to tastings of wonderful food, so you never leave hungry,” wrote Leslie Orth, executive director of the Post Fall Food Bank.
