Man faces numerous charges after shooting incident Saturday outside of Dam Town Tavern

A Hungry Horse man faces numerous charges after he allegedly shot a handgun at the Dam Town Tavern about 12:30 a.m. Saturday morning.
According to a press release from the Flathead County Sheriff’s Department, Daniel Christopher Walker, 33, was charged with assault with a weapon, criminal endangerment and DUI in the incident.
When deputies arrived and secured the scene, they allegedly observed Walker with a handgun.
The incident happened outside the bar. No one was shot, but Walker fired the gun and may have physically hit someone with the pistol.
Walker is currently in the Flathead County Detention Center.
It was a busy weekend for deputies. From midnight Friday to midnight Sunday the Sheriff’s Office responded to approximately 400 calls for service. During the same time period there were 15 people booked into the Flathead County Detention center, nine of those bookings were for felony charges.
