Ethel H. (Kincaid) Petersen

Ethel H. (Kincaid) Petersen passed away Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2021, at her home in Bonners Ferry, Idaho.

She was born on July 23, 1935, in Tres Penos, Calif., to Arthur and Elizabeth (Lewis) Kincaid. She married the love of her life, Clarence “Duke” Petersen on Aug. 23, 1954. They had three boys, Jim (deceased), Bob and Bill (deceased).  

The family moved to North Idaho in January 1973. The family was involved in rodeo, where Ethel was known for timing and judging queen contest throughout North Idaho. 

She is survived by a sister, Kathleen Gorshe of Hollister, Calif.; a son, Bob Petersen of Bonners Ferry; grandchildren Michele, Cody, Robin, Jake, Kimberly and Jim; along with numerous great-grandchildren. She was preceded by her parents, Arthur and Elizabeth; her husband, Duke; and sons, Jim and Bill.
