CLARK FORK — Clark Fork boys basketball rebounded from Monday's tough loss at Lake City JV.
The Wampus Cats took down Bonners Ferry JV 66-42 Tuesday night to secure their second home victory of the season.
Head coach Heath Beason said his team was determined to avoid back-to-back losses and they earned this win.
"I'm very proud of the boys tonight," he said.
Clark Fork outscored the Badgers 39-17 in the second half to cruise to a win.
"The starting five stepped up and took over the game," Beason said. "... Offensively and defensively we were on point."
Sam Barnett led the team in points for the second straight game with 18. He also had seven rebounds, six steals and four assists.
"He played another exceptional game offensively and defensively," Beason said. "He kept us on the right track and .. without him being in control with some of the challenges we have, I don't think we would be able to succeed."
Antonio Mayorga grabbed 16 points and 10 rebounds, Nathan Shelton tallied 8 points and 10 rebounds and Cole Reuter finished with 8 points and five rebounds. Carter Sanroman added 6 points, 14 rebounds, six steals and five assists.
