11 Bulldogs place at Best of the West Tournament

PASCO, Wash. — Sandpoint wrestling left its mark Saturday at the Best of the West Tournament.
A total of 11 Bulldogs placed during the individual portion of the tourney and Sandpoint finished fourth out of 17 teams.
Shane Sherrill (138) and Blake Sherrill (182) led the way, placing third in their respective weight classes.
Andrew Duke captured fourth at 106 pounds, Calvin Hinds secured fifth at 170 and Kaiden Rose (113) and Ashlei Hawkins (120) both brought home sixth-place finishes.
Jorden Tyler (160), Owen Wimmer (182) and Austin Smith (220) all took seventh, and Kai McKinnon (170) and Gavin Walters (285) both grabbed eighth.
The Bulldogs travel to Priest River on Tuesday for duals against the Spartans, Newport and Riverside.
