Camp Bay Road should be kept public, open to lake

In regards to Johnny Hill's letter on Camp Bay on Aug. 16 and Jennifer Arn's on Dec. 7 and others, I was shocked and upset over making the Camp Bay Road private and gated.

I have lived over half my life swimming, playing, and hiking the Camp Bay Area, having known John and Kate Van Schravendyke, Jean Green's parents probably when I was 10. We swam together, helped cook for the hayers. Never a thought about the road being private. It wasn't and should not be private. If they want to gate something, they can. Gate the development.

There is not any good reason to privatize Camp Bay Road.

I was friends with Ralph and Jean until their passing.

I live Camp Bay to drive there and watch a sunrise or a stormy day, watching the waves. Lake Pend Oreille is part mine as for others in Idaho.
