Columbia Basin Health Association will host a COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic at New Life Church in Royal City, 117 Camelia St. NW, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday.
Appointments are full for the event, but people can call the CBHA at 509-488-5256 to be on the waiting list for the clinics in Othello, Connell and Mattawa.
People who are in Phase 1A and Phase 1B Level 1 (65 years or older and/or 50 years or older and living in a multigenerational household of two or more generations) are eligible to receive the vaccine.
Alex Bountharath, community relations manager with CBHA, said they heard other clinics in Grant County were waiting to receive their supply of vaccines and wanted to assist.
“Our goal is to really take care of anyone in our community,” Bountharath said.
Bountharath said he isn’t sure if they will hold similar events in the area, but the vaccine clinic will be back in Royal City later in the month to administer the second vaccine dosage.
Care kits are being given out at CBHA Vaccine Clinics, which include some information on services and a face mask.
