Day Shift handled the following notable calls:

• Deputies responded to the A1 Smoke Shop for a 2 vehicle, non-injury crash where one of the drivers left the scene. The reported crash was not a crash, however the vehicle was located and stopped. The investigation determined that there had not been any collision and it appeared the driver possibly fled due to having drugs in the vehicle. Due to being now in WA, that part of the investigation was turned over to them.

• A tribal member called in to advise that they had located a hand grenade while cleaning up a family residence on the family's property. KCSO and CDATPD responded. On scene, CDATPD determined the device was an inert trainer, however they did not want to handle. Due to the owner being a tribal member and the residence being on the reservation, we insisted they take it which they did.

• Deputies and SIU Detectives conducted an investigation after patrol received a call where a victim found his stolen tools for sale. After the suspect changed the meeting location several times but SIU Detectives were able to meet up with the suspect and owner. The owner was unable to identify any of the tools being theirs. SIU took over the investigation and believes these tools were stolen as well.
