CHARLO — After starting the season 2-3, the Charlo boys basketball team had a chance at a third consecutive win against a tough Noxon team Saturday night.
Tied at 40-40 late in the third, they needed a spark.
Senior guard Phil Marquez obliged, hitting three 3-pointers in just over a minute to give the Vikings some much needed momentum heading down the stretch en route to a 61-52 conference win.
It was the second win over Noxon for the Vikings (5-3) in less than a week, and now they’re looking to extend their season with a few more wins.
Roper Edwards scored a game-high 18 points and Marquez finished with 17 for Charlo.
Stetson Reum scored 10 points and pulled down 13 rebounds for a double-double.
Keaton Piedalue contributed seven points, and Wesley Anderson added six.
