KOOTENAI COUNTY — Two Montana residents have been accused of trafficking drugs across state lines.
Levi C. Reardon, 29, of Great Falls, Mont., is charged with trafficking in heroin and possession of a controlled substance, both felonies, and with possession of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor.
Tasha R. Bailey, 26, of Kalispell, Mont., is charged with trafficking in heroin, possession of a controlled substance and introducing major contraband into a correctional facility, all felonies.
Idaho State Police pulled over a vehicle for an alleged traffic violation on Interstate 90 around 2 p.m. on Feb. 3.
Police said the driver, identified as Bailey, and the passenger, identified as Reardon, both had warrants out of Montana. The pair reportedly told police they had gone to Spokane for a night and were returning to Montana when they were stopped.
A search of the vehicle allegedly yielded drug paraphernalia, including a glass pipe and scorched foil, as well as multiple containers with brown residue that police said was heroin.
Police arrested Bailey and Reardon at the scene.
At the Kootenai County jail, Bailey allegedly retrieved about half an ounce of meth and about seven grams of heroin from inside her vagina.
Judge John Cafferty ordered Friday that Reardon and Bailey be held on $100,000 bail each.
Reardon reportedly has multiple prior felony convictions, including criminal possession of dangerous drugs in Cascade County, Mont., in 2016 and 2017.
