Notable calls for the day!
02-08-21
Day Shift handled the following notable calls:
• Deputies responded to S. Pleasant View Dr. in Post Falls and arrested a female for her warrant. Meth and Marijuana paraphernalia was also located at the scene and she was charged for those violations.
• Deputies responded to N. Samhill Trail for a structure fire. It was determined no one was inside the residence when the fire began and it was a total loss.
• Deputies responded to S. Cave Bay Rd. X W. Bitter Rd for a suspicious vehicle stuck in a field. Upon their arrival and contacting the subjects on scene, they arrested a male for his outstanding warrant from Washington.
• While working a detail on the Interstate, a CIU Deputy arrested a male for his Aggravated Assault warrant out of Georgia. This warrant stemmed from a murder investigation in 2001 (according to the male).
• While working a detail on the Interstate, a CIU Sergeant stopped a male for traffic violations. He was arrested for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of marijuana and possession of methamphetamine and marijuana paraphernalia. The passenger was arrested for possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia. The passenger was significantly under the influence of opiates during the contact.
Evening Shift handled the following notable calls:
• A Deputy responded to a runaway report. A juvenile male had left the residence for a short time after being released from Kootenai Behavioral Health. In speaking with juvenile after he returned home, he expressed the desire to remain in KBH where he didn't have to go to school. 21-06155
• A Deputy responded to the Bennett Bay Inn for an intoxicated male passed out in the back of the property. The male was highly intoxicated and the staff wanted him to leave. He was provided a ride away from the location.
Night Shift handled the following notable calls:
• Deputies responded to Brunner Rd X Diagonal Rd for a crash. A male estimated travelling 65 MPH on Diagonal when he missed the corner and crashed into a utility pole causing active wires to fall over Diagonal Rd. He was charged for reckless driving and DUI. 21-06187
• Deputies handled a cold battery report that happened up Hayden Creek near the shooting pit. It was reported two people were jumped and sustained injuries during the fight.
• Deputies were in-route to a medical pendant activation. Upon medical arriving on scene, they could not get an answer to the door or phone. Medical eventually found an opened window and entered the residence and could not locate the male. It is unknown where the male was. 21-06177
• Deputies responded to a welfare check at Freddi Rd X Nelson Lp. A male had gotten his vehicle stuck and was lost. Deputies were finally able to locate the male and provided assistance on getting his vehicle gasoline to be removed from the area. 21-06164
• Deputies responded to area of Wyoming Ave X Maple Street for a rolling domestic. Central received a 911 call and could hear a male and female arguing and heard “someone get slapped” in the background. Deputies searched the area and were unable to locate. 21-06197
Notable calls for the day!

Day Shift handled the following notable calls:
• A Deputy responded to N. Stimson Loop in Hayden for an unattended death. An elderly female was found unresponsive in the living room of the home. EMS responded to the scene where the victim was pronounced deceased. Nothing suspicious was discovered.
• Deputies responded to Honeysuckle and Ramsey regarding a crash. Upon their arrival they learned a vehicle failed to yield at the stop sign. There were minor injuries.
• While working a detail on the Interstate, a CIU Deputy located a vehicle that was listed on an ATL out of Shoshone County. During the investigation, it was determined the vehicle contained several items of stolen property from a fresh burglary. Property included a chain saw, generator, and a firearm. The two occupants were arrested for Grand Theft. The male driver was also in possession of marijuana and paraphernalia and female passenger was in possession of methamphetamine paraphernalia. The vehicle was impounded so Shoshone County could conduct follow-up.
Evening Shift handled the following notable calls:
• A Deputy responded to Coolin Drive for a battery report. The R/P called to report that her son had a violent outburst resulting in him throwing a bed at her and his live-in therapist. No one suffered any injuries and all the victims refused prosecution. This was the second time we responded to the address in two days. 21-06286
• Deputies responded to Lancaster and English Point Road for a report of a single vehicle roll-over crash. On scene they located a pickup that had rolled off the roadway and came to a rest against a frozen pond. The driver suffered no injuries. A report was completed. 21-06295
• A Deputy took a report of a theft at Walmart in which an unknown suspect took a cart full of items from the store. Loss Prevention was unable to provide any information on what was stolen, a suspect description, or any idea on the amount of money lost. They advised they would finish gathering information and call back the next day.
Night Shift handled the following notable calls:
• Deputies responded to Hayden Ave X Ramsey Rd for a psychological. A male was suffering from sleep deprivation and feeling claustrophobic and anxious. Upon contact, deputies learned the male wanted to be transported to KH for assistance. 21-06352
