HAYDEN — The Hayden Canyon Charter School Foundation will host its third annual Gala & Auction on April 15 at The Coeur d’Alene Resort.

This in-person event will feature dinner, a silent auction and live auction and is open to the community with advance ticket purchase.

Organizers are reaching out to the community for event sponsors and donations. Anyone interested in helping is asked to contact the foundation at [email protected].

Hayden Canyon Charter School opened in September 2020 with 300 students in grades K-8. It is an expeditionary learning school that brings a unique educational experience to children of North Idaho, helping them develop lifelong-learning through hands-on discovery and real-world applications.

Students are eager to go to school, feel supported and have the tools they need to achieve their own personal breakthroughs in academic excellence and character development.

“Our first year has been absolutely incredible. We had so many hurdles to overcome — and then to add a pandemic to it — I am so proud of our board of directors, staff, students and families for making this school a reality,” said Cynthia Lamb, HCC education director. “Our Gala and Auction will be extra special this year as we celebrate our first year and we hope the community will join us for this exciting event with awesome auction items!”

The Annual Gala & Auction is a critical fundraiser for HCC, Lamb said. In the next couple of years, HCC plans to expand its school building, increase student enrollment and matriculate into high school.
