LIBRARIES: Open those covers

Why haven’t our libraries re-opened, now that Idaho is in stage three? Ever since Idaho returned to stage two back in early November, the Hayden library, as well as all the other libraries in the Community Library Network have been closed to anyone except for appointments for computer use and appointments to pick up your book/s on hold.
I am a reader, and this library network is outstanding — when it is open. For more than four months now, I have had to discover my own books through searching online on non-library sites. I then place a hold on them online, and then wait to get an email message that they are available for pickup. And then, I have to call them to “set an appointment” to pick up the book at curbside.
This is an onerous process that discourages all but the most active readers. When Idaho opened to stage three last May, the libraries immediately re-opened, as in people coming in to the library, browsing the shelves, etc. We wore masks and followed the protocols. We can do this NOW.
Come on, time to get back to an OPEN LIBRARY.
