UMW annual rummage sale announced

BONNERS FERRY — The United Methodist Women’s Mission Outreach is putting the word out: come check out their annual rummage, bake and book sale, March 5 and 6 and help the community in the process.
They’ve been putting on the event for years. UMW member Judy Dirks said they’ve been organizing the fundraiser since she joined in the 1980s, and none of the current members can remember when the fundraiser actually started. It’s been a fixture of the community for as long as they can remember.
The rummage and book sale is donation only. You can pay what you think is fair for the items you want. Just remember: it’s a fundraiser!
The bake sale is a little different. There are set prices, but it’s worth it for the delectable cookies, cakes, breads and pies you’ll find there.
Money from the fundraiser supports UMW mission programs, including local agencies like Head Start, Victim Services, CAP Food Bank and more.
The sale is March 5 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and March 6 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Bonners Ferry United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall on the corner of Lincoln and Denver streets. Contact Judy Dirks at 208-267-3859 with any questions.
