Notable calls for the day!

01-01-21

Day Shift handled the following notable calls:

• A Deputy responded to Rocky Rd. in Rathdrum for an unattended death. An elderly female passed away at home. Nothing suspicious noted.

• A Deputy responded to Wolf Lodge Creek for a report of trespassing. Duck Hunters were in a blind. The RP believed they were on their property and had been warned in the past. The hunters were most likely not on the RP's land, however, moved when requested. No crime was committed.

• Deputies responded to Country Ridge Ct. for a report of a citizen dispute. This was in regards to an earlier civil standby request. A male was asked to leave the residence and had agreed to move out. The RP was unhappy that it was not happening at her pace and wanted us to assist. Parties were advised it was a civil matter and the male stated he would be out within the hour.

• A Deputy responded to Morning Dr. in Post Falls for a report of a residential burglary that had just occurred. After investigating the scene, nothing was taken, the RP was not responsible for the property, and there were no other leads to follow up on.

• Deputies and a Forest Service LEO responded to the area of Yellowstone Trail and Blue Creek for a report of a welfare check. A female was observed in distress and yelling that she didn't do anything. After contact was made, it was determined that the female had gotten her boyfriend's truck stuck in a snow bank. After recovering the vehicle, the male broke up with the female, causing her to become upset. No crime committed.

• A Deputy responded to Meadowbrook Lp for a report of a NCO violation. It was reported that a male had called the RP's daughter approximately 30 times since last night. The Deputy was unable to locate the male. A report and complaint request for a warrant was completed.

Evening Shift handled the following notable calls:

• A Deputy responded to the area of Clagstone and Brunner for a black lab that had been struck by a vehicle. The Deputy was unable to locate an owner, and subsequently transported the dog to the Emergency Pet Hospital on Seltice in Post Falls. 21-00098

• A Deputy responded to a Weapon Offense call in the Sims Ln. area where the RP advised he believed shots were being fired from a "shooting range" in Bonner County and he was worried about the safety of his neighborhood. It was requested of Central Dispatch to forward the info to Bonner so they could check the area. 21-00084

• A Deputy responded to E. Hayden Lake Rd. reference a Traffic Hazard where a male subject advised a tree had fallen in the roadway and reportedly also hit part of his house. There were no injuries, and the Deputy assisted the homeowner with the tree until Lakes Highway District arrived on scene. 21-00104

• Deputies responded to Wal-Mart-Hayden reference a Welfare Check on a male inside a blue Toyota Tundra. It was reported he was possibly intox. resting his head forward, then waking up, talking to himself, etc. Units arrived in the area, and were unable to locate. 21-00097

• Units responded to other "Weapon Offense" calls wherein it was found to be fireworks, etc.

Night Shift handled the following notable calls:

• Deputies responded to W. Rosebud Ln. for a welfare check. A third party caller advised her friend flew here from Arizona to meet a male whom she met online. After staying with the male for a couple days the female no longer felt safe and wanted to leave, but was scared to leave without assistance. Deputies arrived and escorted female from the residence. No crime was articulated. 21-00106

• A Deputy checked out with a suspicious vehicle at the Wolf Lodge dumpsters. The vehicle was unoccupied and had windows busted out of it. Contact with the registered owners were attempted by land line and Shoshone County SO in person without success. A report was taken. 21-00109

Notable calls for the day!

01-02-21

Day Shift handled the following notable calls:

• The KCSO Sonar Team responded to the Trestle Creek area in Bonner County to assist BCSO with their ongoing search for a missing diver.

• Deputies assisted KCFR with a structure fire on Echo Rd. in Post Falls. The fire was a single wide trailer. No one was inside the residence at the time. There was nothing suspicious reported by fire. Deputies assisted in crowd and traffic control.

• Deputies responded to N. Trails End Rd, for a possible animal abuse. RP reported her neighbor abused his dog constantly and confined it to a very small area. The dog was found to be in good shape and lived in a camper trailer on the property with its owner.

• Deputies and AC responded to a traffic hazard in the area of Hayden Ave. X Huetter Rd. for several horses in the road. AC issued horse owner a warning due to the area being closed range.

• A Deputy responded to W. Lewis Ave. in Post Falls for a family dispute. The dispute was between 19YO female and his elderly grandfather. No crimes were committed. An FI was completed.

• Deputies responded to Rockford Bay Rd. for a trespassing. The RP advised that construction workers were parking on her property. When confronted, they became belligerent. After responding, Deputies learned that one of the workers had a warrant for contempt of court. He was arrested without incident and the other employees were trespassed from the RP's property.

Evening Shift handled the following notable calls:

• A Deputy responded to Wal-Mart-Hayden for a report of a Hit and Run Crash. The Deputy could not locate the vehicle on scene, and attempts to locate the subjects involved have had negative results thus far. 21-00193

• Deputies responded to a reported Overdose and Trauma involving a 15yof at W. Grayeagle. Deputies contacted the R/P and her daughter. The daughter had "cut" her wrists (superficial wounds) and ingested pills. She was taken by ambulance to KH and admitted on an involuntary hold. Incident report completed. 21-00194

• Deputies responded to a reported Domestic Dispute at W. Shiloh Loop. On scene Deputies contacted the occupants and learned there was not a domestic issue, rather the couple has 5 kids between them, and a roommate that also has a child, for a total of 6 children at the residence with the adults. Both neighbors are calling LE and complaining about noise coming from the kids. No domestic was committed and no other crimes were observed. 21-00196

• Deputies responded to a reported Fight at W. Cheyenne between a male and his wife. After investigating Deputies learned the male half was actually the primary aggressor and had thrown a can of beer at female. He was charged for domestic assault. 21-00200

• Deputies responded to N. Starr Loop reference a Suicide Threat. A female told her doctor she was going to kill herself because she was not getting the treatment for her pain. After having Central Dispatch get a hold of the on call physician for the female it was decided that Northern Lakes Fire would transported her to KH via ambulance due to her condition. 21-00209

Night Shift handled the following notable calls:

• Deputies responded to N. Main St. in Bayview for a verbal dispute. Prior to arrival, it was reported one of the parties involved was now unconscious and CPR was in progress. Upon arrival, a female was laying on the ground in the rain. She was breathing, but not responsive. It appeared the female was just highly intoxicated. Medical arrived and ultimately transported her to Kootenai Health. The investigation revealed female and her fiancé had got into an argument at JD's over alleged infidelities. A report was taken. 21-00226

• Deputies responded to N. Spruce Ave. for a domestic dispute. A female called and advised her boyfriend had hit her. Upon arrival, the female was highly intoxicated. She said the male had already left. When asked about the physical part of their dispute, she said he hit her with a wet sponge because she likes "kinky stuff". A report was taken. 21-00228

• Deputies responded to N. Highway 41 for an accidental overdose. A female was prescribed new medication and appeared to cause a reaction. The female was transported to the hospital. 21-00238

Notable calls for the day!

01-03-21

Day Shift handled the following notable calls:

• Deputies responded to a suspicious call on E. Killdeer Ave and N. Greensferry Rd. in Post Falls. Upon contacting the occupants of the vehicle it was discovered one of the males had an active warrant which he was arrested for.

• A Deputy stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. During the stop the driver was determined to be under the influence of alcohol and was charged with DUI.

• Deputies responded to S. Sunset Terrace in Harrison for an unattended death. An elderly female was found unresponsive in her home and CPR was attempted without success. There was nothing suspicious at the scene.

Evening and Night shift handled the following notable calls:

• Deputies responded to Higgins Point for a mischief call. RP stated “juveniles were on scene doing donuts and screaming”. Deputies arrived in the area and were unable to locate anything. 21- 00295

• Deputies responded to W. Mongul Lp for a domestic dispute. The R/P reported his neighbors were screaming as well as a child screaming. Upon investigation, a female had threw down a fake plastic spider because her 9 year old son was “acting out” and “does not like spiders”. The female said she was having a difficult time as they have just moved to the area from the Philippines. 21-00317

• Deputies responded to N. 16th Street in Dalton Gardens for an intentional overdose. The R/P state her son intentionally took his whole bottle of seizure medication which caused him to have a seizure. Medical transported to KH. 21-00321

• Deputies responded to area of W. Jesse Ct. for a trespassing/unwanted. It was advised that a homeowner had a male at his residence at gunpoint. While in-route, deputies learned an unknown male was possibly attempting to gain entry to the residence via a sliding glass door. Upon being notified that KCSO was in-route, the male departed on foot. Deputies learned the male was not attempting to enter the residence. Multiple different callers in the area reported a male matching the same description was knocking on doors asking for help and gas. Deputies were initially unable to locate the male. A Deputy did located an abandoned vehicle at a residence on W. Diagonal Rd. The vehicle was towed due to being abandoned in a private driveway and multiple unsuccessful attempts at contacting the suspect and RO. Later in the night, the RO of the vehicle reported his nephew had called him and stated he was in the trees near Jesse Court. The male was described as paranoid and using methamphetamine. Deputies contacted the male on Jesse Ct. The male was ultimately transported to KH on a protective custody. 21-00334

• A Deputy responded to the casino for a domestic dispute. Security was advised of a fight inside a hotel room. They later identified a male and female in the hallway near the hotel room involved and observed the female to have a bloody lip. The Deputy arrived on scene and placed the male under arrest for felony domestic battery. 21-00340

• A Deputy responded to Harborview Marina in Bayview for a welfare check. RP heard a female yelling for help and yelling “Get out”. The R/P called in and stated her neighbors had contacted her and said that her daughter is having a schizophrenic and bipolar episode and is off her medication. Deputies arrived and determined daughter did not meet elements for a PC hold. 21-00344
