Zags game with Santa Clara postponed, Zags instead will play host to BYU on Thursday
SPOKANE — Thursday’s men's basketball game between No. 1 Gonzaga and Santa Clara in Spokane will not be played as scheduled due to a COVID-19 related protocol within the Broncos’ program.
The West Coast Conference has modified schedules and the Zags will now host BYU on Thursday (5:30 p.m., ESPN).
BYU’s (9-2) originally scheduled game Thursday against Pacific was postponed due to COVID-19 related protocols within the Tigers’ program.
WSU women's basketball game Friday postponed
PULLMAN — Due to recent COVID-19 protocol developments within the Arizona State women's basketball program, the Washington State women's basketball game versus the Sun Devils, scheduled for Friday in Pullman, has been postponed. The Pac-12 Conference will work with both programs to attempt to find a mutually agreeable date to reschedule the contest.
The Cougars are next scheduled to take the floor Sunday at home against Arizona with a tip time set for 11 a.m. PST on Pac-12 Washington.
WSU-Stanford tip time moved up on Saturday.
SAN FRANCISCO — After talks with the Pac-12 Conference office and the Washington State and Stanford basketball programs, Saturday's tip time, the game scheduled for Jan. 9, has been moved up to 2 p.m. PST on the Pac-12 Networks.
The game is scheduled to be played in Santa Cruz, Calif. at Kaiser Permanente Arena, home of the Santa Cruz Warriors, the Golden State Warriors' G-League affiliate.
The earlier tip time allows the Cougars to return home Saturday night.
