The Game Protective Association say large bands of sheep are objectionable for the following reasons: They drive out deer and birds, and they are destroying huckleberry patches.

The search is on for a permanent fairgrounds facility. Directors are conferring with city officials on questions of cooperation. The Community Park is favored as it is desired to find a close in location that can be used by all the public.

Bryan Dunning miraculously escaped death in a 40 foot drop into the Kootenai in his auto. He received but few injuries. He was rescued from the top of his car, where he had climbed.

Experimental hop testing has been successful in Boundary County and currently interest has been signified by the brewing industry in getting underway with production here.

A son was born to Mr. and Mrs. Roger Hendry on Tuesday, January 5 at 2:55 p.m., and is the winner of the first baby contest here, sponsored by 25 local merchants.

Trapshoot will start on Sunday; all invited to attend.

A 300 unit subdivision is in the works on 160 acres of property bordering Bonners Ferry, and the new property owners want to annex into the city immediately.

The National Wildlife Federation recently recognized the backyard of Rob and Clarice McKenney as an official wildlife habitat.

The Copeland docks and boat launch could soon get a renovation: Boundary County Waterways Advisory Board Member Mike Naumann and Chairman Vern Wilson presented the preliminary draft of the grant application for the project to Boundary County Commissioners on Tuesday.
