FUNDING and MEETING NOTICE Grant County, Washington has been awarded federal funds, through the Department of Homeland Security (DHS)/Federal Emergency Management Agency under the Emergency Food & Shelter National Board Program; in the amount of $53,013 A Local Board comprised of nine non-profit and governmental organizations will determine how the funds awarded to Grant County are to be distributed among the emergency food and shelter programs run by local service providers in the county. The Local Board will meet on Wednesday, January 27 at 3:30 pm through a ZOOM meeting to review funding requests and allocate funds. Under the terms of the grant from the National Board, local organizations chosen to receive funds must: 1) be a private voluntary non-profit organization or unit of government, 2) be eligible to receive federal funds, 3) have an accounting system, 4) practice nondiscrimination, 5) have demonstrated the capability to deliver emergency food and/or shelter programs, and 6) if a private voluntary organization, have a voluntary board. Qualifying organizations are encouraged to apply. CALL FOR BIDS CITY OF OTHELLO - MAIN STREET SAFETY PROJECT (REBID) Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received at the City of Othello City Hall, located at 500 E Main Street, Othello, Washington 99344 until 2:00 PM on February 3rd, 2021, at which time bids will be opened and publicly read aloud. Bid proposals may be sent by mail, or hand delivered, to the City of Othello, City Hall prior to the opening. The envelope shall be plainly marked with "SEALED BID" for the City of Othello - Main Street Safety Project (Rebid)" and shall clearly indicate the name and address of the bidder. The bid opening will take place at the City of Othello, City Hall. Plans and specifications may be obtained at no cost via electronic transmission from the City of Othello. Paper copies of the plans and specifications may also be obtained from the City at the above address for a non-refundable fee of $125.00 per set. Project Description: The project includes removal and replacement of sidewalk, curb and gutter and roadway for the installation of two HAWK signal systems and bulb outs. Includes pavement markings, permanent signing, curb ramps, and directional boring. Bids must be completed on a lump sum and unit price basis as indicated on the BID PROPOSAL, and the total price shall be used for comparison of bids. The owner reserves the right to waive any informalities, minor defects, or to reject any or all bids. All bid proposals shall be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in cash, certified check, cashier's check, or surety bond in the amount equal to five (5%) of the amount of such bid proposal. Should the successful bidder fail to enter such contract and furnish satisfactory performance bond within the same time stated in the specifications, the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited to the City of Othello.
