POST FALLS — Skilar McLean and Hanna Christensen scored 11 points each, and the Post Falls Trojans pulled away from a halftime tie to beat the Lakeland Hawks 54-35 in Inland Empire League girls basketball Tuesday night at The Arena.

The game was tied at 22 at halftime, and Christensen scored eight of her points in the second half for Post Falls (9-4, 7-2 IEL).

“We just played with a little more energy in the second half,” Post Falls coach Marc Allert. “We played with no energy in the first half. Lakeland, their first 15 points were on offensive rebounds. Give Lakeland credit; they did a good job going to the boards in the first half, and making things happen.”

Addie Kiefer scored 14 points for Lakeland (6-7, 4-5).

“Post Falls is scrappy and athletic, and we have some of that stuff,” Lakeland coach Steve Seymour said. “But there’s a light switch that flips on and off, and I don’t know how to keep it on.”

Post Falls plays at Timberlake on Thursday. Lakeland is at Lake City on Friday.
