Jack and Rene (Kohal) Ames are celebrating their 70th wedding anniversary today.

The couple was married on Jan. 27, 1951, at the Hitching Post in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. They made their home in Dover, Idaho.

Family members said the couple are loved beyond measure and because of them we all love God's creation, but most of all one another. "We are blessed to have them in our lives."

They had three children, nine grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and many extended family and friends they love deeply.
