COEUR d’ALENE — Police arrested three adults and removed three children from a home where they said drugs were left in plain view.
Izaak O. Halloway, 44, of Coeur d’Alene, is charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance, a felony, as well as possession of drug paraphernalia and injury to a child, both misdemeanors.
Cassie M. Deniger, 28, is charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and injury to a child, all misdemeanors, while Justin L. Cooper, 36, is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor.
Police responded around 11 a.m. on Jan. 20 to a Coeur d’Alene residence to assist with a welfare check.
A child reportedly answered the door, as the three adults in the home — identified as Halloway, Deniger and Cooper — were asleep.
Police said glass pipes, scorched foil, capped needles and plastic baggies containing substances believed to be meth and heroin were left throughout the home, within reach of the children who lived there.
Officers also allegedly found drug paraphernalia in Cooper’s pockets.
Police arrested the three adults at the scene.
Judge Caldwell ordered Friday that Halloway be held on $50,000 bail.
Cooper is being held on $300 bail. Deniger reportedly posted $900 bail.
The Idaho Department of Health and Welfare sheltered the children who were in the home, according to court documents.
