BONNERS FERRY — Fry Healthcare Foundation (FHF) is excited to announce that they are hosting a special raffle event on Feb. 12, 2021 to raise funds for a new surgical table for Boundary Community Hospital.

The Festival of Hearts is an annual event, but due to COVID-19 restrictions, the usual gala will not be held in person. Instead, FHF will be holding their Dessert Dash Raffle virtually.

All of the delectable desserts have been crafted by local businesses and individuals who are well-known for their luscious confections, and all grand prizes have been donated by local businesses. There are three grand prizes and 25 Dessert Dash confections that will be raffled off, with “dashers” getting to choose and pickup their desserts on Friday, Feb. 12, 4 pm, at Riverside Auto Center.

Tickets will be on sale from Jan. 21 until noon on Thursday, Feb. 11, at which time Grand Prize winners and Dessert Dash winners will be selected.

Follow the Fry Healthcare Foundation Facebook page each day, Jan. 21 through Feb. 11, for the featured luscious desserts so you can decide which one you want to Dash for if you win.

The funds raised will help purchase a new surgical table at a cost of over $26,000. While the current refurbished surgery table has served its purpose over the last 15 years, it limits the ability of the Boundary Community Hospital Surgery Department to meet the continually growing needs.

“We want to expand our local surgery capabilities and services for the community,” says Surgery Manager, April Bennett, MSN RN. “A new surgical table will allow our surgeons the ability to perform more complex procedures with added features like dynamic positioning and the ability to have a clear view for x-rays while performing orthopedic procedures.”

You can purchase tickets for $10 from FHF Board Members, call 208-267-6912 for more info or go to www.boundarycommunityhospital.org/foundation for more information.
