Something funny is going on at the Bigfork Summer Playhouse. “Lucky Stiff” the musical is playing live opening Wednesday, July 7.

This over-the-top musical comedy from the Tony-winning team of Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty (“Ragtime,” “Seussical”) comes fully alive through its great songs. Follow hero, of sorts, Harry Witherspoon and a villainess, of sorts, Rita LaPorta; plus an unconventional heroine named Annabell Glick and a whole assortment of odd men and women who are trying to find a missing $6,000,000.

This funny, fast-paced, madcap musical is fun for the whole family with its cast of hilarious characters and mistaken identities.

Lucky stiff plays in rotation along with “Jersey Boys,” “9 To 5” and “Bonnie & Clyde” through August.
