PABLO — Don Webster of Ronan took 100 laps around the Mission Valley Super Oval track in his No. 8 black and red Camaro during Saturday’s main event and came away with $2,500 and a first-place trophy.

Webster had secured the pole position after qualifying, but race organizers threw him a curve and made him roll dice to determine his starting spot for the main event.

Webster rolled a six, so he dropped back to sixth among 13 entries for the start. Despite the minor setback, Webster worked his way to the winner's circle.

The 100-lap race was split into two 50-lap sessions with a 15-minute break in between for pit adjustments.

Chuck Swope of Hot Springs finished second in the 00 car, while Aaron Clanton of Coeur d’Alene was third in the No. 14.
