Wampus Park raises over $900 through annual disc, golf tourneys

CLARK FORK — A number of local avid disc golfers competed in the annual disc golf tournament at Wampus Park on Monday night. Twenty-three people took part in the event.
Karl Kleinkauf secured first on the men's side of the 18-hole tourney, Kalen Kulp was second and Riley Emmer earned third. On the women's side, Jennifer Kleinkauf finished first, Teresa Kemink second and Eloise Burnham third.
Wampus Park also hosted a golf scramble on Friday. The four-person team made up of Don Heller, Wendy Heller and Ron Heller and Kelly Crawford captured first. Tyson Heller, Randy Heller, Rob Patterson and Micah brought home second, and Lewis Speelmon, Phil Kemink and Dennis Jasperson took third. A total of 25 golfers competed in the scramble.
Wampus Park raised $945 across the two events. All the proceeds will go toward improving and maintaining the course that continues to grow in popularity.
