Hayden Days Parade road closures announced

Government Way will be closed to the public from approximately 8 to 10 a.m. during the Hayden Days “Hometown Heroes” Parade Saturday morning. 

The roadway will be blocked from Hayden to Dakota Avenue, and side streets from Hayden to Nita Avenue will be closed until parade units pass. 

Starting with a flyover at 10 a.m., the Hometown Heroes Parade will run along Government Way from Hayden to Honeysuckle Avenue. 

Sponsored by Idaho Central Credit Union and TDS Telecom, the 2021 parade will feature:

• Distinguished Veteran of the Year Joan Genter,

• The Northern Lakes Fire Protection District,

• U.S. Forest Service Smokey Bear,

• The Discovery Bus,

• Dreams are Forever,

• Disabled American Veterans, 

• The Kootenai County Sheriff,

• Classic cars and more.
