STAFF REPORT | Hagadone News Network | UPDATED 4 years, 4 months AGO
The F.H. Stoltze Land and Lumber Co. has announced further restrictions on its lands immediately due to the increased wildfire danger.
In addition to the stage II fire restrictions, which prohibit any sort of fire, smoking or campfire, the company has added the following restrictions to its lands:
• No use of motorized vehicles on or off road (unless on an open
public road).
• No use of any internal combustion engines on any lands.
• No camping.
• No fireworks
They also remind people to not park vehicles in the tall grass, as the hot exhaust can start a fire. The restrictions will remain in place under further notice. The company owns thousands of acres of land just north of Columbia Falls as well as lands near Whitefish.
