Two people were found dead just before noon Saturday in the 8000 block of Road 18 Northeast near Moses Lake and a likely suspect in their deaths is in custody, according to Grant County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer Kyle Foreman.

Deputies responded to the area 13 miles north of Moses Lake for a weapons call, where the two unidentified dead people were found. The suspect, an unidentified man, also was there and taken into custody.

Foreman said Saturday night detectives hadn’t named the deaths as homicides, but evidence so far was leaning that way.

He also said investigators likely would remain at the scene throughout the night to determine details and more information would be known Sunday.
