Annaby Kanning was named the recipient of a $500 scholarship from the Selkirk Association of Realtors.

Students taking part in the annual Senior Finance Fair were invited to write one-page essay on a life lesson they learned at the event. Finance fair events included role-playing exercises for students randomly assigned a life story, individualized job, salary, family and financial obligations.

The program is part of the Spokane Teachers Credit Union's “My Life, My Money” series.

Previously held in-person at North Summit Church, this year students attended virtually, taking part in a variety of events including a money management game show with prizes and live financial education events.

The fair was made possible by community partners including the Selkirk Association of Realtors, Community Assistance League of Sandpoint and Lake Pend Oreille School District. STCU provides the “My Life, My Money” program materials.
