RATHDRUM — A dog thrown from a car during a collision in Rathdrum this weekend has been reunited with his family.

Idaho State Police said two vehicles collided in the intersection of Highway 41 and Hayden Avenue around noon on June 6.

One person was treated for minor injuries.

A dog was ejected from one of the vehicles.

The dog, a 2-year-old border collie heeler mix named Tilly, was spotted running northwest from the crash site, through a field.

Tilly had a tag on his collar with his owner’s contact information.

Police said Tilly was found on a farm near the area where the crash occurred.

Tilly was returned to his family in Hayden early Tuesday.

Idaho State Police continues to search for information about the crash.

Anyone who may have witnessed the incident is asked to contact ISP Sgt. Allen Ashby at 208-209-8730.
