Pauline Gay Gessner-Dean, April 30, 1932 - May 29, 2021
Pauline Gessner Dean was born in Klamath Falls, Ore., to Garnet Worrel and Elsie Styles Worrel. Her family moved with step-father, Walter Knutson, to Redmond, Ore., and she attended Redman Union High School where she met and married George Gessner in 1949. They raised John, Georgia, Alan, and Robert in Redmond before moving to Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, in 1969.
Her family enjoyed her ready smile, her quick wit and warm, tender hugs.
She enjoyed hunting, fishing, yard sales, casino slot machines, long rides to see and count deer and other wildlife, and spending time with family.
She was preceded in death by husbands, George Arthur Gessner and Wayne Dean; son, Robert Thomas Gessner; grandsons, Brian Arthur Gessner and Zachary Robert Gessner; and great-granddaughter, Kristen Marie Gessner.
Pauline is survived by her daughter, Georgia Carol Gessner McIntee; sons, John Franklin Gessner (Lori) and George Alan Gessner (Terrie) all of Coeur d'Alene. She is also survived by granddaughters, Cher Gessner Kingman (Shawn) and Kelli Swan Clevenger both of Salem, Ore., Lisa Marie Gessner (Jessie) of Kauai, Hawaii, Stacey Davis (Matt) of Coeur d'Alene, Amy Lynch (Mike) of Mapleton, Minn.; grandsons, Nicholas Edward Thomas McIntee and John Victor Joyner; E. Wayne Dean's children, Susan, Mary Margaret, David, Carrie, Ruth, Ann, Doug, Martha, Paul Mueller (Leslie), Cathy Sampert (Bob), Joe Mueller (Sandy), Dan Mueller Paul Mueller (Leslie), Cathy Sampert (Bob), Joe Mueller (Sandy), Dan Mueller; and a number of great and great-great grandchildren.
