POLSON — Zach Veneman and Stevyn Andrachick had huge days at the plate on Sunday as the Glacier Twins downed host Mission Valley in a pair of American Legion baseball games.

Veneman was 3-for-4 with a home run, a double and three RBI as the Twins dumped the Mariners 4-1 in the first game.

Andrachick stepped up in the nightcap, batting 2-for-4 with a homer and two RBI. Glacier (20-8) won that one, 6-2.

The Mariners led the first game, 1-0, after four innings, but Glacier took the lead with two runs in the sixth.

Dawson Dumont led Mission Valley at the plate in that one, batting 2-for-3 with a home run and an RBI.

Mission Valley got the early lead in the second game on Dylan Davis’s solo home run. The Twins answered with two runs in the third and four in the fourth.

Andrachick had a two-run homer in that inning.

The Mariners mustered three hits in the second game — Espn Fisher had an RBI double and Alex Musquiz had a single.

The Twins head to Lewistown on Thursday.
